The fixture needed to meet stringent requirements: it had to be tamper-resistant, resistant to water and cleaning chemicals, and free of any visible hardware or flat ledges that could trap dirt or germs. Beyond function, the light also had to maintain a seamless aesthetic, blending into its environment without compromise. And this wasn’t a one-off solution—it required consistent production for 700 units.
Working hand-in-hand with Johns Hopkins Architects and their facilities team, we approached the project with precision and care. Using aluminum, plastic lenses, and integrated LEDs, we designed a fixture that married durability, hygiene, and visual simplicity.
